Does playing violent video games cause an increase on ones violent behavior

Harvard Researchers: Playing Violent Video Games Does Not Make Kids More Violent
Digital Journal

 By Chris Hogg

The thing that I found interesting in the article that I read was that playing violent video games does not lead to more violence. In fact the article mentioned how by playing video games you less likely to be at risk from getting in trouble compared to people who don't play video games. There is no psychological evidence that violent video games increase your violent behavior and cause an increase on ones aggression. My reaction as a former video game player myself found this very interesting and at the same time I also found it surprising.

Do video games influence violent behavior?

By Roanna Cooper, MA and Mark Zimmerman PhD

In the article my reaction to the article was interesting. The article talked about how there is experimental evidence that supports the theory that playing violent video games does influence or increase your behavior. The article talked about that the people that are at greater risk are the people who find it difficult to socialize and they are the one who tend to be more violent in their behavior. The other thing that I found interesting was that it has an impact on the child wanting to bully other people. In conclusion the article talked about the causes and reasons why children become more violent.
