Finding sources is actually alot easier than I had first thought. I hate academic search premier. I found it difficult to find articles that wern't so specific to an issue, and it made it worse that those issues were not at all related to my topic. As I started to look in the library I fournd alot of books that I could use; books on the psychology of advertisment, gender sterotypes, and even how media potrays an identity in comercials.Like stated above, Academic Search Premier has been the hardest part for me. It might be becuase I'm doing it wrong but I just cant find many articles on academic search premier that I can use. I probably need better word choices in the search engine but as of now, thats been the hardest part to me.
As I'm doing research, this 15-20 page paper doesn't seem as hard as it did in the beginning. The more I'm reading I'm finding ideas and examples I can use for my paper that I didn't even know were out there. I'm learning that there are actually brand stratagies involved in advertisment and that the creators of commercials seek to use gender steriotypes to make viewers buy a specific item The bad part is that all those examples have the same idea as I have. Opposing view points have been difficult for me to find.
My question is "would more informed advertisment be good or do they have to portray and illusion?" All the books I'm looking for are things reguarding advertisment stratages or even advertisment sterotypes. I'm just having trouble finding what to type into the search engine to make my results a little more broad and varied.
