I am finding my sources from multiple different sources. The first is the most convenient, which is the internet. Searching for certified scholarly journals and articles on Google can often take some time, but I can do it at home. I also research for books, periodicals and relevant information in the Auraria library. Their are hundreds of resources in there, including the research assistants that are dedicated to helping me find information for my paper.
The easiest type of source to find is a book. Many psychologists spend a lot of time revising the theories of motivation and how they impact different age groups in sport. I was able to find a book on sports psychology and motivation fairly easily in the library. The hardest to find would be an article, as so many of these articles are pure opinion with hardly any backing. Also, many of the authors are not recognized by writing standards go, which really makes me doubt their credibility.
I have learned a lot already from my sources, especially about how many people this topic involves. There is a major psychology-involved interest in this area, as sports motivation is very appealing to many different people. In regards to my topic, which is reward based motivation (intrinsic), I have learned that older aged groups are strongly driven by reward. This strengthens my argument, as I believe that rewards are offered to us as children religiously. We are taught to chase the reward.
I am running into a major obstacle of gaining respected opinions on the Saint's punishment. People involved with the NFL are obviously hesitant to speak out about the controversy, as their reputation is on the line. This can be solved by just finding a player or writer who works closely with the Saints, and who is willing to speak out about their opinion on the punishment. I'm not overly concerned though, as I'm sure somebody has voiced their 2 cents.
Very nicely done sir!!!
